"During a time when children find themselves struggling with painful and difficult medical conditions, losing their hair can have a devastating effect on their self-esteem and confidence.

Angel Hair for Kids provides human or synthetic hair wigs for children from financially disadvantaged families who have lost their hair as a result of the A,B,C's of hair loss: Alopecia, Burns and  Cancer chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Angel Hair For Kids does not manufacture the wigs directly. Although we have special relationships with professional wig manufacturers who supply their services to Angel Hair For Kids at a nominal fee,  A Child’s Voice Foundation must use its funds to have each wig manufactured.  Once created,  each wig is fitted and styled for a specific child and given to them at no cost to their family.

At any given time, Angel Hair for Kids has between 5 and 10 applications waiting to be processed and the demand is increasing. These requests come primarily from Sick Children’s Hospitals, pediactric oncologists, interlink nurses and social workers in the community.

To make a human hair wig requires 10-12 donations of untreated hair, as well as approximately $800.00 for materials and manufacturing to turn the hair into children’s wigs."
